Another visit to Chartwell.

I have already posted one set of photos taken at Chartwell last year. These are the second set taken on our second visit, right before the holidays. Going to that delightful place on that sunny morning was not really planned. J and I decided to go for a walk around the area, which is very very pretty. But apart from having to walk through a particularly muddy stretch of road (something I don’t like at all), my back just caved in. Knowing there was another couple of miles to go, I decided to stop at Chartwell to rest. We had our lunch there and J went on. This is what was right in front of us while munching away…

I had my camera with me so he knew I would enjoy the rest of the afternoon anyway, and I cherish some alone time once in a while. The place reminded me a little of Rivendell…

These are just some practice shots. I am not quite into these sort of landscape-y type photos, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to stretch myself a little bit. And the place is beautiful anyway, and taking no pics would have been such a waste. They are not food-related but I do hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
