It’s nice and sunny once again this morning and this time the fine weather is here to stay, at least for a little while. The blue skies bring back fond memories of Outwood, one of my favourite National Trust places in Surrey. In warm weather it beats being by the sea, at least for me. I loved the woods there, and coming from me that says something! The common is a great place to sit and have a picnic, and walking around the place is relatively easy, with plenty of decent footpaths.

Around Hever
Today I decided to share with you some shots which I took during a walk around Hever and Hever Castle. You must forgive me when I say that this week I just feel like reminiscing about that green and pleasant land in which I have lived for quite a while. I consider this blog not only to be a sort of cooking diary, but also to me it’s a journal of what I am up to in life, consisting of one also out of the kitchen. It’s so good for my soul to look back through old photos and posts and learn from my past experiences.
Images: Bluebells at Winkworth Arboretum
This is just another quick bluebell post before we won’t be able to see them again till next year. These photos were taken a few days ago on my second no, third visit, to Winkworth Arboretum. It was a miserable day, very gloomy. It seemed like winter, minus the colder temperatures. There were a few breaks in between the downpours and we managed to take a few interesting shots.
