A Quick Coffee Update #8

No one asked me this directly or in so many words, but I know that my readers noticed my absence on the blog for the past few months. Life always gets in the way of things but lately it has hit me in the head. The ‘Whys’? Let’s just say that some have been serious enough for me to lose most of my will to write, cook and keep up with my reading. Every single piece of work became a chore instead of a passion, and things that brought me internal peace and joy have turned into those I should/felt obliged to do, instead of things which usually come very natural to me.

Some ramblings on Doubt (intro to Coffee Date #6)

Hello everyone! How have you been all doing? Really, tell me. I’m always interested. These have been an eventful few months and I honestly don’t know where to start. I can’t believe that the last coffee chat I posted was in January. It’s already mid-May and I feel it’s been too long since I wrote that.

I hope everyone’s having a good Monday. I have a funny relationship with Mondays – I love to hate them. I know that without them there would be no weekends. I’m trying to think of something to like about them but nothing comes to mind really. All that I can say is that I do like certain Mondays, like today. I crossed out most of the stuff from my to-do list this afternoon and I saw my mum this morning too. So a good day on the whole.

Coffee Date #2

C&T has by now become quite the fixture in my life. I find myself thinking about new recipes and reviews continuously, especially when I’m doing the usual mundane things, which most of the time are house chores. Stirring a soup in the kitchen is also included in this list, although funnily enough it’s not as boring as it seems for me. Anyways, all this is to tell you that I feel I haven’t had a proper catch up with you in ages.

A few months ago, I registered for a couple of online short courses with WordPress. One of the writing tasks was exactly like this – a kind of coffee chat/date, and I’m thinking about making it a series on this blog. I’ll try to post them regularly, although not that often as to become mind-numbingly tedious! That’s not my plan at all. I don’t keep a journal for various reasons, however this format of blog writing could serve me well.
