There’s no place in the world that I’d rather be. Last year I was lucky to visit London a couple of times. The last visit in particular was a favourite, made even better by getting to see our friends. The visit to Androuet was the cherry on the cake. These first set of photos though were all taken a year ago. They have been sitting in my photo files for ages. I was waiting for the ideal time to post them, but I realised there’s no time like the present, so here they are.

A visit to Androuet and a few words about their book ‘A Year in Cheese’
I’m finally sitting at my desk after a very busy couple of weeks. I’m back after one of the most enjoyable and hectic few days in London. It’s always lovely to visit, primarily because I get to catch up with my closest friends. London is a happening place – there’s always something new to see and do and this time was pretty special. Here’s why.

Writing 101: Lists
This weekend I promised myself I would try to catch up with a couple of Writing 101 tasks that were given throughout the past few days. It’s been tough for me to find some time to sit down and just write away, and since this is a food blog, recipes were given first priority. But today is a good day to focus on my work. It’s a breezy sunny morning and the only thing missing is a beautiful view. I wish I had the time to drive to somewhere like Dingli, sit on a bench by the cliffs and soak up some of that fresh sea air. I can’t do that right now so I’m in my second favourite place – the study area. So here we go.
The task at hand is to come up with a list of 10 things I like. At first it seemed simple enough, but that’s definitely not the case. There’s a sneaky 11th item in there somewhere. My list could go on and on, so the scope of this exercise for me is to learn how to condense ideas. If you are a regular reader of C&T you might already know that my posts are of the long-ish kind. So before completely defeating the purpose of the task I’d better be on my way! These are listed in no particular order of preference.
Ice cream from Borough Market
I can’t believe it’s been more than a week since I posted something on C&T. I rarely miss my post-one-a-week target without telling you about it first. In the past I used to feel guilty – don’t know exactly why – but I tend to be a little picky about this blog. It is my baby. I’m sure you know what I mean.
London, until we meet again
I’m flying back to Malta this afternoon. You might be reading this while I am on my way to the airport. One thing’s for sure: I will be sad to leave. J and I lived in Surrey for these past seven years, but London was, is and always will be one of my favourite places to visit. J doesn’t totally get it I think; London is expensive, dirty, and brimming with people. I love the brimming-with-people part. Surrey is beautiful and J thrived there, especially while taking walks in the countryside. One one hand I loved it too, while on the other hand many times it just got too quiet. Thank goodness for Guildford town centre. Now that’s lovely, and it’s another place I will greatly miss.
