A Quick Coffee Update #8

cappuccino-5820

No one asked me this directly or in so many words, but I know that my readers noticed my absence on the blog for the past few months. Life always gets in the way of things but lately it has hit me in the head. The ‘Whys’? Let’s just say that some have been serious enough for me to lose most of my will to write, cook and keep up with my reading. Every single piece of work became a chore instead of a passion, and things that brought me internal peace and joy have turned into those I should/felt obliged to do, instead of things which usually come very natural to me.

Some ramblings on Doubt (intro to Coffee Date #6)

IMG_20160510_160835Hello everyone! How have you been all doing? Really, tell me. I’m always interested. These have been an eventful few months and I honestly don’t know where to start. I can’t believe that the last coffee chat I posted was in January. It’s already mid-May and I feel it’s been too long since I wrote that.

Most of these readers are bloggers themselves, or rather that’s what happens here on C&T. Readers, both old and new, are the backbone of a blog. Without them, and your support, I would have stopped doing this ages ago. When I saw the assignment this morning in my inbox, I thought I wasn’t going to do that at all because for these past few weeks I have written some important personal stuff on here, and sounding repetitive was not worth the risk, or so I thought at the time. However chatting over coffee is something I look forward to when meeting friends, giving a little update using this format doesn’t sound too bad. Let’s see.

Writing 101: The Space to Write

Bookshelves (0380)

Today’s actual writing assignment was to write some thoughts derived from a comment posted on someone else’s blog or one that someone posted here on C&T. There were comments that struck me but I feel that I have already written a number of posts that seem to be relevant to the comments I’m seeing lately. So I have decided to tackle Day 6’s task which is to describe the place where I write.
